Buffalo Trace-High Res-Logo Distillery

Buffalo Trace Distillery started on site in 1775 where ancient buffalo once crossed and the distillery was named for The American Bison. It is the home of the world famous Kentucky Bourbon, Pappy Van Winkle, and is located in the state capital of Frankfort, along the banks of the Kentucky River. Buffalo Trace was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001 and designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2013. During Prohibition Buffalo Trace was one of only four distilleries allowed to remain in operation to make whiskey for, “Medicinal Purposes.” LOGO USED WITH PERMISSION.
