Come join us on Saturdays as we head south on a guided tour of two or more of the following Premiere Kentucky Bourbon Distilleries such as Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Barton 1792, Four Roses Bottling at Cox’s Creek, Willett Distillery, or Heaven Hill Heritage Center.

Site selections may depend on reservation availability but each tour will always include Bourbon Tastings that showcase the quality bourbons produced at each distillery. Each touring destination is as unique and educational as the history of the bourbon made there.  Each distillery has its own secret recipes and distilling processes that provide Bourbon Brands and Tastings sure to please.

We will have lunch at a Southern Style Restaurant that serves tasty food and offers mid-day relaxation.

Bardstown, “The Bourbon Capital of the World,” proudly celebrates the world famous, Bourbon Festival, each September. The city of Bardstown was recently named, “The Most Beautiful Small Town in America.” As time allows, we may visit other Points of Interest, such as The Heaven Hill Heritage Center, St. Joseph’s Cathedral or a third bourbon distillery.

MM Brown

Makers Mark Distillery is famous for its “small batch” bourbon that is distilled, aged and bottled on site in Loretto, KY. The brand is easily recognized for its square bottle and hand dipped red wax seal designed by Marge Samuels, wife of its founder, Bill Samuels, who purchased the “Burks Distillery” in 1953 and renamed it as Makers Mark. Willett Distillery also known as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (KBD) is located in Bardstown, Kentucky and is a private family-owned and operated company founded in 1935 by A. Lambert Willett and sons. They produce various brands of bourbon and rye whiskey and are best known for premium brands aged from 6-17 years with some aged up to 25 years. Jim Beam American Stillhouse produces bourbon in Clermont, Kentucky and since 1795, with a short break due to Prohibition, has made bourbon at this location. After Prohibition in 1933 James B. Beam rebuilt the business and along with seven generations of the Beam family has made the brand, “Jim Beam”, distinguished by being named the bestselling brand of bourbon in the world. Heaven Hill Distillery is the nation’s largest independent family-owned and family-operated distillery.  It began operations in 1934 shortly after the repeal of prohibition and is recognized as one of the most award winning distilleries in the industry.  The 2nd largest holder of aging American Whiskey in the world with around 1.2 million barrels aging amongst 51 rickhouses, Heaven Hill’s stocks represent around 20% of the world’s future supply of Bourbon. Four Roses- Bottling, Warehouse &Tasting located in Coxs Creek, Kentucky has been named, “American Whisky Distiller of the Year” 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 by Whisky Magazine. Four Roses has been making bourbon since 1888 and Handcrafted 10 distinct Bourbon recipes, mingled by hand to create award winning brands available for sample tastings. LOGO USED WITH PERMISSION.


Barton 1792 Distillery can be found in Bardstown, Kentucky and all tours begin and end in the Barton 1792 Visitor Center. You will see a fully operating distillery and description of how its award winning Bourbon is made.
